I live in Austin, TX. At the bottom end, we have Ikea, Crate and Barrel, Euroway, etc… Scania DRL . At the top we have specialty shops downtown where a couch can run as much as a BMW. New Driver Cheap Insurance . Banner Stands . backlinks .

Is there a middle ground or is quality craftsmanship + modern furniture simply out of reach?

Check out the local phone book to get names, then check their online ads. When I lived in Austin ( almost 7 years ago now) there was the coolest shop at the south end of the bridge over Town Lake on Congress, I believe. Free Blogs . recycled glass vase . Guess Watches . Sorry I can’t remember the name of the store but it was so cool. Do you want modern or contemporary furniture? From the shops you’ve named, it sounds more like contemporary with a modern twist.

I’m looking for furniture makers/brands that make solid wood bedroom furniture without veneers, and preferably ones that use old-fashioned carpentry techniques like dovetails, mortise and tendon, etc… Marketing . prank calls from computer . Also, on another note, is Broyhill a good furniture company? My sister is looking into getting the Fontana collection for her room and I wanted to check that out for her. I’m still trying to see if I can find solid hardwood furniture before I give up and go with something else that uses veneers. Thanks.

A-America has really nice solid wood furniture. Business . We just bought a bedroom set made from New Zealand Pine….it is very nice and reasonable. www.a-america.com
